It depends upon several things. First, what model scanner you have connected to the printer. It could be the 7346/56 or a Synergix scanner. If it is a 7346/56 then there is no scan-to-net feature key, the feature comes standard.

If there is a problem with the scanner, or the scanner is disconnected from the controller, then the machine will not recognize the feature as being enabled.

What model scanner do you have, and what is the problem with the scanner?

Coupon ID extraction from 8830 dds

      thank you for you interest,

the scanner is Synergix, before the system work correctly, copy and scan to net are enable, color scan enable too. Now i have scan color enable but scan to net absent and desactivited, the real probleme that i have lost the coupon id to enable scan to net feature again, my question is how to do to try to recover this coupon ID from the hard disk of the controller.

thanks for you and all for your help.

Use the IP address of the controller in a web browser. This should open the "Web PMT" interface. Look at Printer Set-up, and insure that the setting "DDS Enable" has a check mark. If not, the controller will not recognize the scanner or Scan-to-Net feature.

In WebPMT, under configuration, see what level of firmware is loaded. If it is less than 9.0, that may be a problem as well. Sometimes the controller will drop back to an older level of firmware, like 4.0 or 5.99. If this has happened, then you may need to update firmware. The battery on the main board may have failed. Or the hard drive may need to be reformatted.

To attempt a reload of the feature key, go to the Xerox feature key site: https://www.xeroxlicensing.xerox.com/coupon/
Select your language, then select "Replace all Feature Keys after software update." Use the advanced hardware address of the controller to obtain the scan-to-net feature key.
