Xerox 4112 error 78-100

error 78-100 on xerox 4112 with oversize highcap tray
paper jams just before it enters the machine from the highcap tray
the highcap tray works fine on another machine
the machine itself works fine if you put the bypass tray on without the highcap tray and feed from the bypass tray
anyone have any ideas

Check the software level of printer (ps-rom) and hcf.
If you have a misalignement, hcf may not works.

Also, you might want to check that the correct entry chute is installed. If the bypass works correctly, you probably have the chute with a roller in it, which is required for the bypass. The (O)HCFs require the chute without a roller in it. It has a slightly different form, and the sensor is also moved slightly, so no, you cannot just remove the roller and drive gear.
