xerox phaser 3635 mfp power issue

I have a Xerox 3635 printer that continually shuts off and reboots then prints a test configuration report.
Also on the occasion the scanner makes a rattle noise like it can not find home.
Has anyone seen these symptoms and what is fix if you have.
    Thanks for any help.
The printer is brand new out of box condition.

    That says tech bulletin:
"Trying to boot without HD, move the CCD module to the right to see if its causing the reboot, impossible to go in diagnostic to do a memory clear, check the scanner home sensor with meter...sensor work fine. I replace the Main PWB and its working."

I was able to pull the machine into office to check power issue and troubleshoot machine in shop.
What I found was that if I pull the HDD off the copier the machine would take longer to reboot which gave me time to upgrade the firmware without a glitch and reinstall HDD and format with image over wright tool in the service mode.
The machine appeared to come up fine after reboot and stayed on and went into sleep mode like it should have.
I left running in shop for four days using it and all is fixed and working properly.
Thanks for all your posts to help and aid in my troubleshooting.
      good day
