    Xerox WC5645 communication error

    Hi,

    I have Xerox WC5645 with SBC Tag 40.There are 5 dots on the screen and I'm trying to restore NVM.
    After connect PWS tool with machine it says "Opening connection with the device..." and then error
    communication error.... on the pictureerror.JPG

    Anyone had this problem? Could it be bad Software module?

      try to reinstall pws tool.
      If dont work remove battery from sw module for 10 minutes then put it back and try again

          Allready tried that but without success.
          It cannot establish communication.

              Replace software module.
              What version of Diagnostic you have?
              Need at least 25.00.008 version.

                  I also suspect on software module...

                              Be sure in this garden grow up a lots of laptops in many colours .

                              Check if your laptop can connect with another 56xx machine. Very rare bad sw module.
                              Also check the 3.3 volts in SIP module to be 3.3 - 3.5 volts no less

                                  I have tried with other laptop. Same situation. All voltages good.
                                  I have to agree with Adi that this is very very rare, but seems that it's all about SW module.

                                  I think i have one 5645 for parts but it's w\o tag 40, but when I checked documentation, it seems that these two models (with and without tag 40) dont have same software modul.

                                  Will keep you up to date, but need time to get new SW module.
