I have been 'playing' with my SFN-4 finisher door because it wouldn't stay shut and now I am getting this 012-323 error (pink screen) - restarting and slamming the finisher door in frustration has had no effect so has anyone any idea what to do next? Grease maybe?
012-323 on DC250 - hole punch? Anyone ever come across this?

Not familiar with SFN4. Is that a Advanced/Profesional or a Light Production? If you dont know tell me the Serial # prefix. Should be 3 letters. PNX/PNB/TKX or MLA. -

~Front tamper sensor motor fail
Do an IO Check. [14-020] and [14-023], Front Tamper Motor, alternatly
See if the tamper motor runs.
Component control for the sensor is [14-200]
Good luckComment

Re: 012-323 on DC250 - hole punch? Anyone ever come across this?
I bypassed the door switch and watched as it started and it seemed like R1 stapler was having a hard time of going around the bend so I cleaned and polished the track.
After that it behaved itself until I closed the door and then I get the error back again. The door doesn't close correctly - the bottom magnet catches but the top one is pulled away from it's catch as if the door has warped. So a bit more investigation needed.
Anyone know what that spring metal rod (black) is doing that is hooked into the inside of the finisher door? Can't seem to see what it is meant for.Comment

Makes the door rigid.
Try putting washer as a spacer on the door hinge pin to elevate the door slightly. That has worked in the past for me.Comment
