i have a problem with controller , i can't attatch any one to the machine it open the upgrade screen then restarting without do anything then give me incompatible network controller power down message appear , i try to upgrade the software controller from alt boot but nothing do .

Probably a controller bios problem.
What altboot files are you using when try to reload software ?

yes i have the software ver. 13.60.22.10 , and i have 12.60.22 and 13.60.22.00 and 14.60.22.00 but all same problem

i use 4_0_SP2_082406linux.notebook , then it's kfs092206_4_0_SP2.gz then D136022050_00_1.DLM

if it need any patch before reload software or what ?

this problem meet me at 3 machines before and i can't determine where is the prob. , in controller ? or the machine can't receive the new software

For *.60.22.xxx sw version the altboot files are 4_0_SP2_101906.linux.netboot and kfs101906_4_0_SP2.gz.
However your altboot files must also to work because is SMP2 version.
Try to altboot with controller detached from machine - without fireware cable.
What software machine had before you reload the new *.60.22.xxx ?

the machine software before i try to reload the new one is 13.60.20.10
now the machine online but i found it's controller that don't need to reload any thing . but still don't know what's this problem i have a nother machine pro 55 it's controller dead and the same problem not accept any other controller

Pro 55 machine is an old one and it controller differ from Pro 255 controller. Other hardware configuration, other software version. Be sure you use the correct type of machine controller.

Thanks for your interest , i knw it's software V 3.97 but not this the problem the controller working good on other one pro 55 , but this machine the same thing on 255 , don't accept any controller to reload the software just open upgrade screen then restarting , :S it's a strange problem i think
