Hi! has anybody got back to you on this? You might be able to save a belt and a technician fee if I can be of help. What have you done so far as per instructions given to you?

so far I have gone into the service mode of the machine and reset the error count back to zero but the machine still immediatly goes to that error now. For a while you could shut it off and back on and it would work for a little while but not any more. any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks

Hi again. Do NVM read/write 741-056 to 0 in service mode? After that, if you're familiar with the belt (IBT) assembly, you might need to take out the IBT cleaner which might be full of toner. Open the front door of the machine, lower the lever (just like loading a drum) and leave it in that position. On the left hand side remove the plastic cover with 2 screws. you'll see the IBT assy, lift up the small latch on the left hand side and pull the assy a little bit outwards just to get access to the IBT cleaner. There are 2 screws that hold the cleaner. remove those and clean/ vacuum the excess toner in the IBT cleaner. Mount the cleaner back to the IBT assy with 2 screws and place back the cover. Close the machine and test it. Hope this will be useful. Give me your feedback when you're done. Thanks

          Thanks for your help

I reset the value in the machine and I removed the cover to the belt assembly however I can not locate the cleaner in the machine. can you offer me any other description of what I am looking for? I really appreciate you walking me through this.

Hi! Sorry, my computer was corrupt so I wasn't able to reply quickly. Anyway, before you pull out the IBT assy, make sure that the lever in the front cover of the machine is down - just like when you're loading a drum, just leave it down- do not lock or close the front cover.

if you stand facing the right hand side of the machine with the cover off, you can see the IBT cleaner attached to the IBT assy.

On the left hand part of that window where you can see the IBT is a small latch, lift it up while pulling the IBT assy towards you.

It will stop a few inches, lift the latch up again and continue pulling the assy towards you.

when there's enough room for the IBT cleaner to be disassembled, then stop the pull.

you will see 2 screws still on the left hand side of the IBT assy. remove those and slowly slide the cleaner assy leftwards.

Remember you are still standing facing the RIGHT hand side of the MACHINE.

I hope this will help. Regards!
