Re: Spare Parts name!
A bit more info would be nice.....
It sounds like it might be the "encoder strip" that is the name of it ?
You may like to take a photo an paste it to the forum.Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

Yeah, lets see a picture. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Spare Parts name!
Based on almost nothing, I would have to guess that allan is correct. The encoder strip is a way for the controller board to monitor the movement of the carriage, for example, is it moving at the correct speed? Is it stuck/not moving? There is a photosensor that counts the passage of those microscopic lines. If you get ink buildup on encoder strip the printer will error out with a carriage movement error. =^..^=Last edited by blackcat4866; 03-08-2015, 07:40 PM.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
