Re: MFC-L861, skewing images...
Thanks TSB... yeah, I wondered how the fuser levers would cause this if it's happening before (or during) image formation.
I just talked to the customer this morning, and she's been re-using label sheets, over and over again. I suspect she might have gotten a label stuck in the registration section along the way (somewhere, I can't see it), but
customer does not want to spend a lot on repairs, so I told them the next best option is to replace it with another disposable machine.

Hey OC do you need SM?
If image is tilted that means it happens before fuser so grey envelope levers(normally should be in upper position) are not the cause of this.
I would check for hiden bit of paper in reg section, reмove drum unit a belt unit and check for foreign particles and if they seat evenly level.Leave a comment:

I gathered what I did from the Brother online users manual. You could too. =^..^=Leave a comment:

Re: MFC-L861, skewing images...
Thanks BC, I'll have the customer try that. Although I wonder how this could cause the development of the image to be skewed before the fuser?
I would also think I would have wrinkling too, or am I thinking about that the wrong way?

Two gray levers, opposite sides of the fuser. =^..^=Leave a comment:

Oh, OK! Where are those, on the fuser or something? Or in the paper feed area?

No, only one green lock lever, down locked, up unlocked.
Also check that both the envelope pressure levers are set to the upper position (plain paper). =^..^=Leave a comment:

Re: MFC-L861, skewing images...
it IS the 8610 Black Cat, thanks for that!
I didn't see a latch on the right side, only the left (green handle?)

If it is the Brother MFC L8610CDW, did you check to see that the imaging drawer is latched in on both sides? =^..^=Leave a comment:

Could this be a Brother MFC L8610CDW, maybe?
I don't seem to be finding references to the model you indicate. =^..^=Leave a comment:

MFC-L861, skewing images...
Hey guys,
So I've gone out to this machine, and it is skewing (tilting) the image to the right of the page, both on paper tray and Bypass.
I've gone in and cleaned the registration roller (which seemed to have a lot of buildup, for some reason) and still it skews. I believe this to be happening prior to image formation and fuser, so that's why I went for
the reg roller.
Any help appreciated!
OC
