    MFC-L8850CDW: drum unit

We were looking at a MFC-L8850cdw that had a drum unit message + several maintenance items. Fuser and laser I believe.

So followed the drum reset steps and saw what to do about the fuser and laser separately.

Replace drum message came back after it was reset to 100%. Our tech who was there said he thought not all of the drums had "contacts"- haven't seen a photo yet...I believe opening and closing the door may have got the drum message to go away and some pages came out.

Account was using aftermarket toners on that one and a couple other different models they had. Could something be missing from the drum unit?

Haven't seen an OEM unit for that so don't know what it should look like. Looks like on the Brother website the drum unit is a whole set of drums together as 1 unit.

This is all 4 in one drum unit. Never seen any Brother after drum successful reset to 100% went back to zero.
Maybe after reset to 100 but not actually replaced it complaints about drum charge cleaning message is Drum! or something like that.
Brother stats 25k for this model with original toner why U won't make them clear savings on toners would result in shorter drums life and change it instead of reset?
