    [Misc] Brother DCP-J140W

    hello all technician and nice day ..today we have problems in Brother DCP-J140W ..it have this message Init unable 48 ....please any idea

      Machine error48 - Weak connection of the head flat cables. Head flat cables or carriage- head flat cable broken or not connected
      -Correct the connection of the head flat cables.
      -Replace the carriage PCB ASSY.
      -Replace the head/carriage unit.
      -Replace the main PCB.

          The encoder strip is the thin plastic sheet that runs parallel to the shaft. There is a sensor on the carriage that reads the vertical lines on the strip to obtain the position of the carriage.

          It looks like this:

            Possibly a pin or multiple pins are not able to communicate. Please check if they are depressed.
