I have an iRc 4080 that gives this code(e747-8000) when printing from Microsoft Office 2007 or IE7. Noticed last 2 codes on same model on floor also the same. Must be driver or firmware issue. Anyone seen this problem? Customer says sometimes able to print single page but goes to code on multiple pages.

I have a service call on the same model of machine tomorrow with an E747 error code.
My boss has printed out a whole heap of material on this code and how to troubleshoot it.
I'll post back on how the service call goes and what I found.
Usually though this code is caused by the customer bumping the reader cable loose. -
I did find a tech bulletin indicating a series of serial numbers with defective main controllers. Goes to e747 when coming out of sleep mode. This is not my problem but may be yours. Canon has a no charge exchange for these bds.Comment
