    Canon C4080i Color Issue

We just got a few c4080i's in, and we're having a color issue. If I print a word document from a workstation with Microsoft Office Word 2000, the color is off. Blue's look purple, for example. If I print from a workstation with Office 2003 or 2007 (haven't tried xp) the color prints fine. Has anyone had this issue in the past? Unfortunately upgrading all workstations to 2007 is not possible for me yet.

    Thanks,

Have you run an Auto Gradation?
It should be on the main LCD screen.
    If not it's under :
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS>ADJUSTMENT/CLEANING>AUTO GRADATION ADJUSTMENT and follow the onscreen prompts.
Try that and let me know how it goes.
Also what driver are you using?

      Hello,

This actully sounds like a problem with the print drivers on the Office 2000 workstations rather than the machines themselves as you say Office '03 or '07 are fine (if it was the 4080's it would be the lot of them up the spout!!!)

If you go to the printers and faxes area on the control panel and call up the properties of the machine on the affected computer go to the colour management tab and see if it is set to the same as the computers that are not affected, if it is the same you may need to either reinstall the driver or you can try a different setting to correct.

You can also try doing a print from something like paint on the affected computer as well, this will give an indication if it is Office that has the problem or if it the computer as a whole.

Hope this is of help and please let us know how you get on,

        colour problems

check the machines colour setting and the personality it is using ie Ps Pcl driver settings.
Then i would check what drivers have been installed on these machines.
Really sounds like a setting issue in the driver and not a machine problem, check in the advanced colour settings to see if both PCs are using the same profile.

if the machine is printing through an H1 rip attached to the back off the copier you might try reloading soft ware to the rip
