    3300i prints crooked

So this will be my 2nd post. The first one worked out perfectly, you instructed me to change the Drum and I bought one and replaced it and no more black lines!

This Help request is a little different. We have a Canon ImageRunner 3300i and when an end user prints the print job comes out crooked, or off center, or mis-aligned . . . not quite sure what the correct terminology is. Can somebody instruct me on how to fix it and why it does this?

Thank you - your humble non-technical servant John!

Make sure the paper guides in the paper tray are tight.

What if the paper is coming out of a bulk paper feeder; 1500 page hopper?

The concept that I would follow falls along the same lines FOR A RANDOM misalignment. If it does not happen when using one of the paper drawers, it must be in the paper deck's paper feed path. Try checking the PF rollers and see if they need to be cleaned or replaced. Something is either dragging or slipping that skews the paper enough to mess up the print, but not jam the paper.

My suggestion is based on your saying "prints". Issue should also happen when making copies from the paper deck - you just may not have noticed as paper tray 1 may be the COPY default and the paper deck the PRINT default. Maybe?????

I think the issue is with the bulk paper deck. I took the rollers off and cleaned them and put it back together but it really looks to me like the whole paper deck is of a smidgen; it is now jamming as it feeds into the Canon. How do I re-align the paper deck correctly?

Getting in a bit deep if you are not a tech

Not meaning it as a put down, just not sure of the process you used to remove the rollers or that you got all of them in/out right.

If I did it right, I have attached the installation guide for the deck.

I have never had to realign a paper deck so can not be of much help there. I would look real close and make sure you put all the parts back in the right place.

If the attachment did not take, I will try again.

BTW: For others reading this, I do not post service or parts manuals.
