    iR2800

Did a service call a few weeks ago for poor fusing and E-001 codes. I replaced the entire fuser assembly. I was out there due to another problem today and the customer said that there was still poor fusing at times. They said they tried to run the bulletins on 20# to see if that would help, but they say it didn't help. They only notice this on legal size 2 sided, but then that's really all they run. I couldn't duplicate the problem myself. The machine was moved to a different location in the building a couple months ago. Wandering if power affects these machines as it did the iR210 series (No codes and poor fusing).

Oh yes! These machines are subject to power issues. I would get the power quality analyzer out there right away. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Put a surge protector on one that another company was working on and having this issue every month. Customer ask if I could come by and look at it (frustrated with dealer). Have not been back since for the same problem. Now be have a very big account.

Alright, guys, I did talk to the customer again and she is using generic toner. Not for sure what kind. I use Katun alot and don't have problems, but who know what she's using. Anyway, she evidently is only having this problem on legal, not letter. She runs 70# legal through the bypass, and after wandering if it's a paper problem, they backed down to 60# paper with no luck. I am having her to do a run on 20 # legal to see if she has the problem. If it runs 20# ok, but not 60, what options do I have? Any setting changes? She is selecting "heavy" when using bypass. Thanks!

Just checked the specs page for that model - Acceptable paper weight through the bypass is 17-32# bond, drawers: 17-20# bond.
I'd say that 60# bond is a little out of spec, and would explain poor fusing no matter what brand of toner they're using.
