How to solve this code E00061-0001 for canon IR 6000.

    1. My IR6000 shows E00061-00001 . I try to press the function - clear- err and turn on and off the machine but the problem is still there. What should i do ??

    2. I also change the corona wire for so many times but the images that come out is still not O.K . The first printing is well but the remaining printing image will be like zebra stripes. Is there anything wrong with my printing machine ? or the whole set is sparking to cause the image to be like that ...please help.....

this error is sensor problem at drum's top sector.

i think it's name is IT sensor.

u can see at top of drum.

first : clean this sensor and re plug, if it is not fix this problem , u must be change this part.

zebra stripes .... i have seen this... in developer units , first check your spacer rollers , and clean your developer roller in order you get a uniform amount of toner in the roller

When does the error code pop up?
Have you tried turning off potential control to see if copy quality changes and to see if the error comes back. Have you look at D-POT and check to see if the reference values are within spec?
One more thing. Have you thought about looking at the laser unit.
You can hear the laser unit motor spin when you boot the machine up.

Forgot to add one more thing. How old is the drum?

screwtape is right try to turn off the potential if the zibra line didnt apeare and the copy goes lighter then you have bad laser unit.and evry time you you turn on the machine the it says reinsert the duplex unit or the unit 2.
there is no glory without sacrifice

cleaned up the laser unit already

                hei guy ,...
1.I already cleaned up the drum , the laser unit ,the corona wire but the zebra stripes still occur.... For the first page printing , the image is solid and in good condition but after the 2nd , 3rd and 4th pages followed .... it will appear all the zebra stripes on all the following pages.

                2. I do check the developer unit and tries to change it with the other set from the other machine but the zebra stripes is still there.

                3. The drum is 2 years old with the copying quantities of 500,000 pieces of papers.

                4. Do i need to change the block were i put up the corona wire.. I think there must be something wrong with this unit... aNY COMMENTS ????

The 61 code can be a pain in the ass to resolve, you mention cleaning, well most of the time 'cleaning does not cut it'.

                    e61 code:

Replace primary charger unit, or could be arcing of other corona units.

could be the Drum pot sensor, the harness or the board.

Could be the laser unit itself and cleaning might not do anything.

troubleshooting also mentions the DC controller and finally the main process unit.

As the result of potential control, the drum surface potential (VL2)
of the white background is about 200 V (generating solid black images
