    canon ir6000

    my machine is ir6000,and print out with background. after i turn off potential control the print is ok and no more bacground. how to adjust the potential setting?

    You don't give us much information here, copy count would help. But I would say start with a good PM. When you say print is it doing it in copy mode too?
    Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.

      hi this machine need to change corona wires frequently. in order to maintain a good copy quality.

        Either replace potential unit or if you use gold wire instead of slightly oxidized tungsten you will get background.

          Ditto on restringing the wires (with the correct type of wire). They only seem to go about 50k before having quality issues. I usually replace the whole corona assm's somewhere between 500k and 1 mil.
