    Canon IRC5185 fixing units FM3-3778-000

Does anyone know how to rebuild this unit or who rebuilds them and for what cost? Any help would be appreciated. I checked the parts manual and Canon does not list the belts so I am thinking that you have to order the whole unit but was hoping someone knows of a more cost effective solution.Thanks.

I feel your pain, there's no other way, you would just have to replace it $1200.. OUCH!

I DID hear that Canon U.S. sells the complete unit(with both belt displacement units already attached)for the same price as the bare bones unit that still requires the OLD belt displacement assemblies from the OLD unit to be swapped onto the new unit.
The only thing that you reuse is the I.H unit.
You're right though...there are no parts listed to refurb the complete unit..even though I did it once during training...it took over 3 hours to rebuild from scratch and it STILL didn't work

Any updates to this? I only got 11 months out of the last one I replaced. All I need is the upper belt.
