    ir3300 control panel lcd screen

An IR3300 control panel LCD screen won't turn on. A N Boot ROM and NIC were just put in the machine and when I went to turn it back on the screen so the IR3300 could be put into download mode but it wouldn't turn on. A very brief noise is made and the screen doesn't turn on. Everything else seems to work properly as far as I could check.

Edit: worked out what the problem is. The N Boot Rom doesn't work. Have checked with Original Boot Rom and N Boot Rom from a working IR3300 machine. Is there anything I can do to try and fix the Rom so it will work?

Nope the Rom Dead you cant repair it

Send back to canon for a service replacment

You can flash them but need the right equipment and software to do it not worth the price for 1 rom

and its illegal anyway so dont do that option

When you change the bootrom to "N" , you should format your hardisk from "C" to "N" also.

I know that. But if the ROM doesn't work you can't use the machine let alone get the machine into download mode.

You don't have a spare rom?
Lemme see what I can dig up and pop it in the post.
We've got boxes of used roms at work I'll see if I can find an 'N' rom for you....they usually get bundled up with the print kit but we might get lucky.

Do you have extral "C" bootrom? You can change it to "N" bootrom with the help of sst and 26.44 firmware.

Really? I thought the "C" bootrom's required special tools to update to n firmware. That is interesting. I guess I prefer to use a boot rom from the print kit just in case the "C" bootrom is needed down the track though I don't expect it will be.

I'll post back if a replacement boot rom doesn't work.

Go to Additional Function>Language>On and select the language.
