Hy. I have same strange issue i didnt run before. Here is a pic

Picasa Web Albums - Dario - PICTs

Copier have 530k copies. Drum was replaced on 280k. This "line" in main scan direction on A4 paper show random like after 4, 10, 15 copies and its changing position. The line crosses the copiers margins of 4 mm on both sides . I cleaned dev assy, transfer roller and drum but same thing happens.

    Any advice would be great

If you have 530k on the copier and the drum was last replaced at 280k, you have way more copies on the drum than Canon warrants the drums for. I occasionally get 125k on these drums, but that is not the rule. You are at twice that amount. I believe there may be some arcing taking place inside the drum unit, and replacement of the drum would be my first action advised in this matter.

        Hello Dario,
It was good to hear that the drum resolved the issue. I work for a Canon dealer, and I make it a practice to replace the drums at first image defect calls, or the infrequent "empty waste toner message". I never try to empty the waste out to get longer life from the drums. The callbacks for image quality problems after I had done this long time ago taught me that in my business environment, it was a false savings, that actually cost more when you consider the return travel and time, plus the occasional upset customer
