What is boot rom H on this series? Is that scan only or print as well?

I got a Cann IR2230 with a Bootrom P, but it doesn't work as a printer, there is no printer report available like there is on the "H" version, when I send something to print, the copier receives the data but in never prints, are you sure that the "P" version works as a printer?
Any help would be really appreciated.
      Thanks.

        the 'P' or 'H' Boot ROM comes with the Printer Kit E-2 or E-3>for imageRUNNER 2230 / 2230G / 2830 / 3530 / 3530G
        imageRUNNER 2230 / 2830 / 3530
The imageRUNNER xx30 series does not use the customary N version boot ROM or System Software. There are different letters to represent the Boot ROM and System Software needed to be installed. The letters are listed below:
There are now three (3) types of Boot ROMs available for the imageRUNNER xx30 Series:
C = Copy only (This Boot ROM comes pre-installed on the copier and uses the internal firmware to run)
P = UFR II (This boot ROM & SSW is included in the UFR II Printer Kit E3.)
H = UFR II and PCL (This Boot ROM & SSW is included in the UFR II/PCL Printer Kit E2.)
*There are no N type Boot ROMs with this series!

        For
Remote UI /Mailbox/Network Scan/ you need optional UFR II Printer Kit-E3 or PCL/UFR II Printer Kit-E2 is installed.
Printer needs >Optional (UFR II or PCL/UFR II)

        On the following >imageRUNNER 3025 / 3030 / 3035 / 3045 / 5050 / 5055 / 5065 / 5075 / 3225 / 3230 / 3235 / 3245, Color imageRUNNER C2550 / C2880 / C3080 / C3380 / C3480 / C4080 / C4580 / C5180 / C5185, imagePRESS C1 / C1+ / C7000

On Above devices u no longer need to install an "N" Boot ROM to enable printing. These devices will always have a 'C' Boot ROM listed. Print kits are enabled through an LMS license key and, once registered, will enable the device to print.

Thanks everybody for your replies, I've worked with several other canon machines in the past like the Canon IR 3300/5000/7200/8500/105 and I installed the printer/network kit with the boot rom "n" without any problem but it's the first time working with these machines, like I explained in the first message, the one that has the "H" version prints without any problem and on the reports settings you can print the network report and the printer report, but the one with the "P" version doesn't print and you can only print the network report, the printer report is missing, when you send a job to print it appears for a few seconds on the job list and then it disappears, I remember a similar case a few years ago with a Canon IR 5000 and if I'm not mistaken the problem was resolved when I downloaded the "N" version firmware to the machine, but with the Canon IR 3320 I have no idea what I need to do. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks again to everybody for your previous replies.

the option to print the list is not available if HDD is not installed

The Optional UFR II Printer Kit-E3 or the PCL/UFR II Printer Kit E2 must be installed. These features are available as an option on the "30" series machines. If the imageRUNNER is configured as a "ROM" model ( no HDD ) the printing of lists will not be available.
Note: The HDD is included with the Print Kits.

The imageRUNNER xx30 series does not use the customary N version boot ROM or System Software. There are different letters to represent the Boot ROM and System Software needed to be installed.

If the machine was upgraded to a printer (i.e. the printer kit was installed), it should have a total of 256 MB of RAM.
                1. Enter Service Mode by pressing Additional Functions, 2 and 8 simultaneously, then Additional Functions again.

                2. Press Copier > ACC-STS.

                3. Check the RAM option. If it displays 128 MB, then you must install the 128 MB DIMM from the printer kit to make the total RAM 256 MB. If it already displays 256 MB, do not add the extra 128 MB DIMM from the printer kit.

                PDL Support
UFR II Printer Kit-E3: UFR II
                UFR II/PCL Printer Kit-E2: UFR II/PCL

Boot Rom software was in these Kits

                  Hi teckat,
I checked the info on the pic and is like this:
                  PDL-FNC1 1000 0000 0010 0000
                  PDL-FNC2 0000 0000 0000 0000
HDD HTS541020G9AT00 (the other machine that is printing fine it says: TOSHIBA MK2023GAS)
I also noticed that under ACC-STS > PS/PCL is says 0, but the other machine that is printing fine it says 1.
Do you think that I'm missing something here?
                  Thanks.

the other machine that is printing has KIT E2/ with H boot rom support for PCL/ READ ABOVE info on Kits

The 30 series will not print any reports without a hard drive kit, that was inc. in KITS- No hard drive kit, No p-print, or jam/error history print
                    .

                    Make sure u have
                    under>ACC-STS
                    256MB
If you don't have the PCL kit installed and are trying to print to a PCL driver (rather than UFR II) it will not print

Download iR2230 -UFR Driver on Canon USA site

                        HI Everybody,
Thanks to everyone for your help, the problem like teckat explained is that the boot rom "P" doesn't print a printer report and that I was using the PCL drivers instead of UFR Driver, problem solved!!!
                        Thanks again.
