irc 2880

have a irc2880 that ripped its transfer belt....we changed belt then the rib on edges of belt came off....yet another belt but when changed i am getting message saying ..please insert bk drum unit ..checked all drums locked into place properly...then machine started to show 00067-0102...any advice!!!!

the rib from the itb has fed into 1 of the drums - it stops them rotating and laying patch hence - replace drum message

BE VERY CAREFUL..!!!
I had a brand new iRC2550i with the same issue...the rib came off the belt and got jammed inside the yellow drum.
When this happens the force of the drum drive assembly trying to continuously turn the drum twisted the process unit frame and the machine had to be DOA'd by Canon and a replacement machine put in it's place...which was a pain coz you get a barebones machine and have to swap licences and accessories.
It's becoming a real issue...the rib just falls off the belt and leaves the belt intact but jams itself inside the drum.
