if you break the encryption - you win the prize - as yet can't do it, been tried it's a 'hidden partion' all XX70 machines are the same

Oh yeah, Use sector by sector. Even if it can't see the data it should copy it anyway. Just a thought.

            clonning ir hd

It is easy.WinHex will do that. you must clone sector by sector physically.
First save your HD image to files. then transfer this image to new HD.
Note that if your origin HD is 15H (head), new HD should also 15H. so with 16H.
The image file is quite big.you may think of some way to reduce size,(compress,or delete unwanted data,or others). Partition information is at first 63 sector. Each partition header have a unique 12 byte data.

i've tried sector by sector with acronis and then xxclone ,forensic replicator etc still all fail....
you'll end up with with what seems like a valid 'image' an then copy across and verified to end up with e602
have you used win hex on a xx70 drive?

I am the guy who knew little about SST, of couse noway to access these info.
Weeks before I thew Copytechnet, I use to backup few sets HD image of Ir305 IR3300. When a bad sector occur comfirmed, just get a similar HD, restore the HD image to the drive. It works. I even successfully startup the IR305 printer from a CF mem. And rencenlly, thanks to haydar64, with ir2200 firmware, a little modification on HDFormatXXX.itf, I can make this machine boot up from a CF mem. Althought CF mem is a bit slower then HD, it has a faster seeking time. I think CF mem is an allternative way of replace faulty HD. Currently I am using X133 speed.

                      self image

Try selfimage it works for me any hard drive. May not be able to format with sst if hard drive is not compatable with sst. but allows you to use a larger hard drive than the original.

                        Answer to Mr mrfixit51
It is a 8G CF mem. I think a 4G maybe ok but not yet try. I'll tell you when I can confirm this.
