    ir c3100 rui

    i have been having major problems getting the rui to wrok on this ir c3100. i have updated the system software and rui. what is the most current version? when attempting to access i get error 3001, rui not available. any help would be great. thanx

      Try not to update firmware individually...I never used to trust the SST batchfiles...but lately they've been pretty good.
      Download the latest 3100 batchfile and use that...it will contain the version of RUI required for that version's RCON and DCON.
      You get that message when you have a version mismatch between SYSTEM and RUI....use the batch file and just let it overwrite everything.
      Or alternatively...take it onto the roof and kick it over the edge...it IS a 3100 after all

          It could be the web browser you are using. We have had problems with an old version of IE, it accessed the rui but the 'additional functions' part of the rui came up with an error. Firefox worked perfectly.

              Also test using crossover cable to rule out problem on network.

              If updating firmware doesn't work try formatting and reinstalling firmware.

                  thanx for the responses, i will try a batch download and see what happens. if that doesnt work, to the roof it goes! lol

                      Please verify the following:

                      Format the hard drive and reinstall the latest version of system software, RUI, Meap Cont., Language.

                      In service mode OPTION>BODY>RMT-LANG (en)
                      In additional function>System settings>Remote UI (enabled)
                      Be sure to enable "Dedicated Port" on the copier.

                      The correct version of RUI firmware must be flashed onto the copier. A specific version of the RUI firmware is required for each individual version of system software (MN-CONT Firmware) for each specific copier model. The correct version of the RUI firmware to be used with your current version of MN-CONT software can be found on that system software version's System Software CD.
