Canon IR 3300 system software

system software VS firmware

this HDD problem is suck isn't it? one said must use firmware that until today cant find it anywhere, other said need system software which is dont have either and hard to get anywhere too.
so all i have to do is find both files, and try it one another. so please, if, someone know where i can get those files, pm me.
btw, is it legal for a common (uncertificated) technician to have it? read somewhere if only certificated technician can have those files and do the installing process.
if it's legal, then how can it's so damn hard to get those files and program to run it?

Yes, I had a 3300, with print version. So it has a network card on it. I know there is another copy only version 3300, it's not my machine.

But I don't have the system software. And I couldn't find it on net

Just change a HDD is not enough, you need to format the new HDD and install some system software I think.

Yes. You do need to format the hard drive and install the system software (both are done using SST). What you need to install depends on which version of the 3300 you have and what options you have installed.

Do you have the 3300 or the 3300i? If not the 3300i, do you have a network card installed?

Have a look in the Reference Guide for the copier. ScanGear is for pull scanning, that is you go to the copier and turn the scanner online and then pull it using a program to scan the files with the aid of scangear on the computer.

On the IR3300, you press the Options button on the copier and turn the scanner online. It may be a similar button on the IR 2570Ci.
