I am trying to configure the Network setting for my Canon IrC3220n and need the Service Support tool and the firmware
Would someone be so kind as to give it to me too?

    Hope you can help me.

Well that's all you had to say.
Firmware is not going to help much.
You must have printer kit installed.
Do you have a printer kit insatlled?

          Nope.

On the canon website I find NetSpot Device Installer. Is that what you are talking about?
When you say installed do you mean on the laptop or on the Canon?

          Thanks

Forget about netspot. If you hit the counter check button, there is a device configuration tab. If you hit that tab you would notice if there is a multi PDL printer kit installed.
Firmware is not going to convert your machine to printer. The machine needs a N chip. The bootrom comes with the printer kit. The firmware gets installed on to the machine from your laptop when using SST.

              Hi, screwtape
i did hit the counter button but it didn't come up with any PDL option in the Config Tab....
ANyway i downloaded netspot and that did the trick. i.e. i can now see it on the network.
BUT ;-) now i have an issue with a print job that doesn't cancel. The printer says it is still cancelling the job indefinitely.
It there a way of sorting this out?

If you don't see a multi-PDL printer kit A1 under device configuration, then it looks like you don't have a printing option.
Other ways to find out if you have a printing option would be to go into service mode and check the boot rom.
Just because you see the machine on your network, this does not mean you can print.

Well it has an assigned IP address, I can see it on the network. I have installed the driver on my PC and I can send a document that appears on the job queue of the printer. The thing is that it just hangs there and doesn't print. The printer has a fiery and I can see print server settings.
When I hit the counter button but and then the Config Tab, I can't see any multi-PDL printer kit A1 module

Data that i got off the printer are:
                    diablo: 2.4.17-11_jULY_2003
                    Disk: EXT2-R0-IDE-11_JUL_2003
                    Kernel:2.4.17-11_jULY_2003
                    base: 3_0-11_July_2003
                    CONVERT-3_0-R0-11_July_2003
                    Platform: MXi-11_JUL_2003

You don't need the multi-pdl kit if you have a Fiery, it handles all rasterization of PCL/PS etc.

You only thing you need to make sure of is that the correct service setting has been flagged so the machine knows it has a Fiery attached (can't recall and don't have SM atm).
No, I will not send you Manuals, Software or your own little repair Genie to fix all your problems for you.

                        Options>ACC>IMG-CNT =3

Also, you are going to need a print driver for the fiery, not the copier.

                          Guys this is great help

                          >"Options>ACC>IMG-CNT =3"
This might be a silly question but is this an option setting that I access on the printer touch-screen or is this accessed through the SST?

When you say print driver for the fiery are you talking of:
                          - a windows driver on the PC
                          or
                          - a driver on the Canon?

I have installed the UFR (UFR II does not support IR C3220 - installed it and basically there it is not on the list)
When printing with the UFR what happens is that again it doesn't print. I have notice that in the print queue there is always one other document that can't be cancelled (i.e. when I try to cancel the printer comes up with an E000677-0080 error)

I accessed the Fiery webserver by simply typing in the IP address in Internet Explorer. As far as the Fiery is concerned, it knows that it is connected to the printer and it can see that the printer has an N2 saddle sticking unit attached. I can't confirm that the printer knows in the Fiery is connected because I haven't found how to access this option which you suggested:
                            >"Options>ACC>IMG-CNT =3"

Document that doesn't delete is always called "Activation Page"
