    ir3025 problem. Touchscreen inactive...

If copier/printer ir3025 is in Ready to copy mode after short time not possible to copy. The touch screen is in inactive mode (no reaction on the finger touches) , the digital keyboard, ON/OFF button also frozen. No any reaction on doors opening. However it is possible to print via the network. Any ideas ? Second question does ir2270 firmware fits to ir3025 ? Thank's in advance

If the machine has a fax board, try disconnecting it.

The 2270 and the 3025 have different firmware.

You probably have a bad control panel.
I've seen them go bad on these units
If your printing with no problem, then you can
eliminate the fact that you have a system problem,
which system issues can cause funny things like what your going thru to happen.

Yesterday completely disassembled the control panel and a touch screen. Did not found any jammed buttons. Everything is clear and pushes fine. At first look PWB's also is OK. After panel was assembled and added to copier it also become "dead" after a time. Printing is possible. And also no any reactions on display on door openings. I am plannig to replace a PWB with a new one which located under analog buttons, I mean PWB whith many push switches. Is it rigth step?

do u see any thing on the touch panel or is it now blank

so analog touch panel does not work/ does the LCD panel under it light up

turn off hold down 2 & 8 key> and turn on -can u get in to download mode on screen/ if so - one of those keys are locked up in that switch panel.micro switches that actuate under these keys can sometimes stick

the LCD touch panel everything shows (icons, words and so on) but not suitable to the finger touches as the analog buttons

After device rebooting, I mean switchind device OFF then ON. Everything is OK for short period of time, control panel works perfectly.
