im a sharp/ricoh tec but have been asked to ck out this unit.
it jams as it enters the fuser unit,no hangups or real jams but stops.
i figure a sensor flag is broken off but cant see any in the heater or before heater unit..
how do i remove the heater/fuser unit?

Remove back cover, top left cover, front and rear left covers, front cover pries off. Release top left clip to avoid breaking.

4 screws on left side fuser frame, and need to take the fan off to get the black rear plastic clip off , be careful of the wires.
Front side, release and slide up blk. plastic cover, disconnect the power and sensor leads, one screw on a funny-looking metal plate in front frame.

      Reassembly CAUTION!

I just got done with one of these, and mine STILL JAMS with a new exit actuator (it was broken).
On mine, the exit roller won't turn on its own, not sure if I've got a broken gear or just the exit roller coupling is broken.
So MAKE SURE you turn yours by hand before re-installing, may save you a 2nd teardown/reassembly!!!
