I have a Canon NP6221 that is putting out black copies (Dark background but the image is still visible). I have checked the main charge wire and it appears to be good. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, lets do it from the scratch:
Did you clean all mirrors, including mirror nr6 ?
does the scanner lamp fire up correctly?
are the spacer rollers of the development unit worn?
make sure, that there is genuine Canon Toner used!
