    iR5051 End Code #860

We have a new Canon Advance iR5051 and I set it up on our print server. I can map to it, but when I print to it, I get an End Code NG #860 on the printer. The print spool show it was printed and went through with no errors on the computer end. I tried to look everywhere and searched this forum and can't find that end code anywhere. When I print, I can hear the copier run for a second or two, but nothing comes out. I checked to see if it was saved in a folder on the machine but nope. I have attached a screen shot.

Symptoms are very similar to missing printer language (probably no PCL). I don't have the manual in front of me but I think that's what a #860 means.
A lot of salespeople don't explain that base networked copiers just come with Canon's proprietary PDL which is UFRII. PCL is now an option just like PS has been.

Try using the UFRII driver from Canon U.S.A

UFRII it is. UFRII is standard as DLP stated PCL or PS is optional.
You should have the software along with the machine.

*****TP09 348c.pdf-new updated step by step install workflow chart procedures for ir5051 series
        - 3/29/2010
Due to many special accessories that include physical components as well as licenses, the Checklist and
flow chart will guide the trained service technician through an easy step-by-step installation. The Checklist
can be used to ensure that you have the required kits on hand (Inventory) and as one completes each kit, the
installation is verified (Installed). Additionally, the Checklist should be used as a workflow of exact steps
to take when performing these installed components. It is recommended to follow this order to avoid
installation conflicts and reduce installation times.

        1. Default setting for CDS MEAP is “0”. Please set the following to:
        a. COPIER> OPTION> FNC-SW/ CDS-MEAP = “1”
        - Set Value “0” (Default)
        - Set Value “1”
        2. When performing High Speed Mix Media feeding function:
        a. COPIER>OPTION>IMG-SPD>MXSPDSEL
        - Setting Value “1” = Image Priority Setting (Default)
        - Setting Value “0” = Speed Priority
(Ensure engine is at v21.37 System Software)
        3. When installing a Document Scan Lock Kit ensure the System Software is at v21.37.
        4. For CDS User Mode, if the dealer elects to turn this feature on for the User then System Software
should be at v21.37. Canon USA recommends that dealers attain a certain level of comfort of their
service technicians using the CDS system software download features before enabling this
        functionality for customers.
        5. The IPSec option and Wireless LAN PCB only works with the Canon Print Controller. If you add
an imagePASS or ColorPASS to the device, the IPSec PCB needs to be removed.
