    How to upgrade firmware of Canon IR 8500 and 6800

    Please help me to upgrade firmware of Canon IR 8500.
    1.I want to use RUI interface but when i connect to my copier it will shown "RUI contents is not found" so i try to search information to resolve it.All of answer shown me to upgrade firmware of copier. (Is it True? or can i use other program to monitor same this?) and now i had bought canon IRC 6800 it can use RUI interface normally. So if anybody can help me please....
    2. I'm novice in copier. i want to know what program can manage and monitor canon copier like this or advanced more please advise me.....

    for 8500>Turn on RUI setting under Additional Functions > System Settings.



    SST has nothing to do with RUI

      yes now i'm open RUI to on. but when i connect to it It still shown RUI content is not found.

        Assuming your network settings on your PC and copier are correct, and that you are using a crossover cable to try to communicate between the two of them, then you may need to reload system software. You will need Service Support Tool, and System Software for your copier. Upgrade the system software, "choosing overwrite all", as the method. After completion, you should have RUI capabilities restored to the copier....

                  That is news to me,, v4.23 is the newest that I am aware of, and the Canon Support website shows that as what is available to download as well...
