    Canon IR1670 Toner Empty Message.

    Hi all,

I have a Canon 1670 that is giving me an intermittent toner empty message even with a new toner cartridge. I have vacuumed out the machine and cleaned the contacts and the outboard side in the machine and in the developer ass. , but it keeps coming back. I am ordering a new developer unit , but just wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions to fix this issue. TIA.

To clarify,, are you getting a message to change the toner cartridge, or is it asking you to empty waste toner? If the latter, the drum needs to be changed, as that is where the waste toner is stored.

It says toner empty. I will have the developer ass. for tomorrow and I have a drum if it needs one. I just hope it's not a power supply. I'll update after I find out what works.

Looks like it was the Developer unit that cause the problem. Thanx for all the help.
