    IR3235 Lgl,11x17 Grayed Out

    Both drawers the select box for paper select is grayed out if dial on tray is set for lgl or 11x17. You can see the paper size but you can't select. tray lifts, no add paper message. Ltr,LTRR is fine. Machine is 1 week old. Switched cassettes with another machine, no luck. Any settings that may have been wrong from factory? TIA

    when u first install this unit machine must be unplugged from wall first, then u plug in cassette unit plug, then plug in printer to wall outlet

    make sure your cassette feed unit molex plug , is plugged in on rear of printer

        sorry i misread your post/ it only happens on LGL/ & 11x17

        Try to initialize Copy Settings.
        To initialize Copy Settings follow these steps;
        Press the Additional Functions key>Select Copy Settings>Select Initialize Copy Settings>Select Yes. After initializing Copy Settings, power cycle the machine.

            I don't know what was set wrong but initializing copy settings fixed it. I kick myself for not trying that to begin with.
