    canon iRC3220

    Hi to all

    Can any one know the life (peper coun.) of the CANON IRC3220 drum unit .

    The drum life is measured in %. When you press starhead 28 starhead it takes you into service mode, press misc and that will give you the 'life' count of each of the four drums

      but I have many IRC3220 thier life read more than 250% what that mean??

        dis reguard if u have not updated the Canon Firmware software to show correct drum pct. readings/

        i change drums on copy/print counts-

              Just ride em till the die. They are rated for 40k base on 5% ratio.

                thy are right. even they have same firm ware the reading cant be the same.just do base on the output print of each drums do pg 5 test print on each drum to know if they are still good.

                  don't believe everything you read about this drum % reading/ Engendering told me when I was there ,that chip in drum unit reads dev sleeve rotations , go figure - if customer is printing at 6% / to 8% coverage >letter copies/prints- u can run the Drums to over 300%/ Coverage is the killer / of Drum surface
