    canon lc 830i

Hi I have a canon LC 830i and I am having jamming problems. The paper is picked up out of the cassette and stops intermittently at the registration roller. If I open up the back of the machine you can see the pick up gear turn and the registration clutch does not fire,Then the pick up gear will turn again and the clutch does not fire.and again then it will jam at the registration roller. This does not happen all the time. I can make any where from 1-50 prints and no jam. But when it does jam it will stop every time at the registration roller.
    Parts replaced-
    Pick up Rollers
    Sep Rollers
    Registration clutch
    Torque limiter
    Registration sensor and flag unit

    any one have any ideas??

Do you have a jam code??
That could help us help you.

    What about wiring?
Cut any wire ties if there are any on the clutch.
Also check connectors on the dc.

If it tries 3x and still can't feed it will register a jam. It should be able to pick up the paper on the 1st try, if it has to try 2 or 3 times to get the paper your problem is in the feed section. I would try replacing the cassette, it could be cracked, the springs could be weak, the part that hits the sep release could be worn down. I've replaced cassettes on many fax machines especially ones with a lot of miles. If it does have a ton of copies the rails the cassette slides on can also wear down.
