    Canon D480 Fax/Printer

    Uh-Oh!
    Now I've done it...HELP!
A transparancey has fused to the fuser roller (don't ask)
How do I get to the fuser roller section to try & remove it?
Do I need to disassemble the whole machine or is there a short cut?

These are "throw away" type machines. Reason for the name is normally anything major goes wrong, it is just as cheap to replce the unit than have someone fix it. We do not service that model, but I suspect it has a fixing film and pressure roller rather than fixing rollers. You may be able to purchase a fuser maint kit (most come with instructions) but the kit plus shipping plus hassle may not be worth it.

I was afraid this would be the answer.
        Oh well...
Since it's toast anyway, I guess I'll take a screw diver to it and have a look myself.
I might just get lucky and be able to remove the transparency put it back together.
If not, it's going to the recycle bin anyway.
Too bad though. I just got the thing and already have to toss it out.
If I actually fix it I'll post back & tell you if it was worth a try.
        I'm goin' in.
        Thanks folks,
        Dana
