    Using aftermarket HDD's

Hey guys, thanks to the CNN special on HDD security on copiers we have had an influx of HDD Erase Kit sales.
    So the question is:
Has anyone ever used an aftermarket HDD? Is the procedure the same as if you order oem from canon?

Purpose being for current customers with lease agreement nearing the end, the hdd erase kit would be a waste if I could just replace their hdd and physically hand them their old one upon the end of the lease.

Any advice is appreciated, and thx in advance guys/gals!

That's what we are starting to do now, just hand them the old HDD. Then, of course, we bill them for the replacement. Here are the instructions for an aftermarket HDD.
