    [Electrical] iRC3220 Main Controller Problem

    Hi Guys,

Again with these iRC3220 machine problem. Problem with the machine the panel display will blank out left only a green light up at corner of the panel assembly. The machine will warm up normally that you can hear the rotation during warm up.

Have changed the main controller P.C.B assembly(with all the RAM,BOOT ROM & HDD) taken out from a working condition machine. Its works for a while after changed and come back the same problem. When these main controller P.C.B assembly fix back to that working machine condition it does not work anymore. The panel display blank too. I suspect the machine have sort the main controller P.C.B assembly.

    Any comment guys...?

You can have power issues. If you keep replacing the main controller and it happens again then maybe its not the main controller.
Other things to check would be:
    DC Power Supply
    Fuse PCB
    Control panel
    Memory DIMMs
    Boot ROM
    Sub-Main Controller
    Power Distribution PCB
    Interface PCB
    Reader Controller PCB.

As you can see there are a couple of other things that can cause the issue your facing.

I had this problem two weeks or so back. It wasn't the power board so to speak, but rather a bad solder joint to a two wire harness on that board. It was in the bottom right handside. I didtn't bother to lookup what part of circuit it belong to. I replaced the board rather than solder and replace the 2 wire cable its entire run. No big deal just a pain to track as it was intermittent.

Have monitor the performance of these machine fo 2 day. So far so good.

Conclusion is the DC power supply distribution faulty
