[Misc] How to Edit /Write an edited JBG image file in a mailbox in IR3300

In Canon IR3300 mailbox, i've scanned a whole book into its mailbox. Although in Remote UI, i can view the JBIG image file page by page, is there any way to edit one of the JBIG image file and updated it into the mailbox? Can i rearrange the sequence of (or delete) the JBIG files/pages in a mailbox?

Would Service Support tools do that? Where to download the tools?

Canon Service Support Tool is used to reload or update system software on Canon MFDs. It doesn't perform any additional functions that would resolve your issue.

You can't edit a JBIG file, you can only veiw it. SST will not help in your situation.

I can edit the JBIG file in an external programme. Is there any way to transfer/write it to the mailbox?

In IR3300I, it can erase the JBIG file page by page. Is there any way to do/"hack" it in IR3300?

The JBIG Image Viewer is software to display image files stored by JBIG format on the Web browser. Yes, these displayed images can be stored in other formats with other program kits. Depending on what your doing with those Jbig files, maybe the copy quality is not an concern preference for you. The resolution on a Jbig files is very low, the DPI is 75-80. There are programs that can enhance the resolution to high low good quality DPI rate ,but this doesn't mean its going to look good.

If there is a scan tab, try Network ScanGear tool.

Once you have edited it with your program you can Print it back into the mailbox. I don't know why you want to go to so much trouble, Jbig is just for viewing. Prior versions also compress the image and make them look like a bad fax. Hacking into it? I wouldn't waste so much time on this, just use scangear and the print driver like everyone else. Also, where the Store feature is there is a nice page composer, Edit and Preview. That will allow you to change page order, add PDF pages to Word doc's or word Doc's to PDF's etc... Nice utility with the PCL.

Thank you very much, DLP. Your reply almost solves my case.

But one last thing is this:

I have a book of 500 pages stored in a mailbox but i realize that some pages are not scanned properly. Is there any way that i can replace the pages without scanning all over again?

For those jobs stored in the mailbox, is there any way to output to store / edit & preview?
