    [Jamming] iR3570 jams at fuser

Hey, y'all, I got a sick one for ya'! The iR3570 at a friend's office jams at the fuser. The code is 0108, delay jam at PS14. It's done this off & on since new, it has 233K on it, and is now doing it a lot. So far, the fuser has been rebuilt, all guides checked for worn edges and toner buildup, transfer roller replaced, feed tires ALL replaced (does it from all 4 drawers,) and all rubber paper path parts simple greened/plastic parts cleaned w/alcohol. The jam only happens when I'm not there (of course,) and I suspect the fuser drive motor is going intermittent, not enough to shoot a code, but enough to jam. When a copy does come out, it is creased about 2/3 of the way back from the lead edge. Jams are like this: About 1" to 1 1/2" of paper sticks out the top of the fuser exit uncrumpled. After that it's a loose accordion. Also need a part # and price for the fuser drive motor. I'm not a tech and don't play one on TV, so e-mail me at axeman@basicisp.net with your suggestions. Techs keep the world going. It's a thankless job, and I hope I never have to do it again. Y'all have my respect.

there was some upgrades to the lower right door assembly, which was recommended, did you check those the new one comes with a sort of metal spring bar which acts as tensioner on the vertical feed rollers.

      1. If you can line up the right hand door with how it lines up with paper path when it is closed, there is a black diverter/flapper on the door that sits just above the fixing/fuser assy. Pull the pads off from under the ends of this diverter. They get sticky and cause the paper to crash/accordian into diverter.

      2. If you have an internal finisher, remove the black plastic delivery idler rollers. They sit in the area with the delivery roller right after the fixing assy. If you pull finisher out by hand you can reach in and pull the two delivery rollers/holders/springs as an assy. out with needle nose pliers.

      3. You could also have an issue where diverter/flapper on the assy. that swings out with the green handle on right handside is not opening enough. Usually if this is the issue, the paper with fold above and below the fingers of this diverter. You can test by taping up the diverter to keep it open and run a heck of a lot of single side copies.

      Good luck, post your results!
The glass maybe half full, but less is more...
Printer + Fax + Copier = Jack Of Many Trades,
      but Master Of None
Color Copier = Not A Color Printer
InkJet MFP = Not A Fax Machine
      B/W Copier = Not A Press
Finisher = Deal Closer (salesman, not accessory)
Copier Tech = Admin's Stress Ball (Scapegoat)

Sounds like your delivery flapper is getting stuck to the damper pads.
