    Image Runner 2525i with Mac OS 10.4

    Hello,

    do somebody as an experience on set up a printer canon IR 2525i on MAC OS 10.4
    Here, in france, CANON answer me it's not possible yet.

    But :
    1 This printer come to replace an old IR2800 who worked fine with Mac OS 10.4
    2. there is a driver available from CANON web site
    3. I cannot belive that this printer does not support the Mac OS

      Check the Canon USA support site/       UFRII V1.80 SHOULD WORK

          If the UFRII doesn't work you can download the newest PPD v2.90 here. I assume PPD v2.85 for OS 10.2.8 is not working?
          Download the ppd and extract it to /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources


          The print engine for a ir2800 is a lot different from the ir2525 so I doubt the same ppd will work, just replace the ppd for the existing printer.

          Open System Preferences->Print & Fax->ir2800->Options & Supplies->Driver.






          Choose Select a driver to use from the Print Using pop-up menu.


          Choose the PPD file you downloaded and extracted (remember the path to it), click OK.


          Make sure the finishing options under the Print Using pop-up menu match your ir2525's

              Canon Phone support is a joke/ UFRII v1.80 Printer Driver for Macintosh OSX should work in MAC 10.4 FOR iR2525I


              OR
              PPD v2.85 for Macintosh OS9.1 or later / OSX 10.2.8 or 10.6.2
              imageRUNNER, Color imageRUNNER and imageRESS PPD v2.85 for Mac OS. (New Support for MacOS X 10.6.2)
