    iR105+ display not on

Hi guys, have this problem with one iR105+, when the power switch is turn on, there is no power on the panel, only the pilot light( the small light ) is on, when open up the back of the machine i ca see the LED on the MN-CONT is on. Other then that, nothing is functioning. Have try interchange the DC con, MN Cont, BootROM, RAM, Power Supply. Any ideals/clues will be appreciated

Was any work being done on 105+ before issue ??
Does the printer go into warm up ??

To save troubleshooting time, a good place to start is at the outlet. This is what you should read at the wall outlet:
    OUTLET1..jpg
1)Across A and B you should read around 115 volts. 2) Across A and C you should read around 115 volts.
    3) Across B and C you should read 208 volts + or - 10%.
    4) Some cases you will read 115 volt on both A & B legs, but 0 volts across B & C. This would indicate the problem of no power.

Check>inputs and outputs from the All Day Power Supply

Turn the power off for the ImageRunner and unplug J501 on the DC CON PCB, then turn power back on while holding down the 2 and 8 keys.
If Download mode comes up on the LCD display of the Control Panel, try formatting the Hard Disk Drive and reloading System Software using the Service Support Tool.

    FROM OLD PUB>
    Error :
When booting the unit up, there is no back light on the LCD but the green power light is lit. The unit is going through a normal warm up: scanner moves, lamp lights, CCD adj is performed, the fixing lamps light and the unit goes into initial rotation. There is no response from pushing the control panel buttons.

    Workaround :
Check the LCDON signal on the main controller at J1018A-pinA15, should go to 5vdc when the screen lights. If the signal does not change the LCD will not light. Unplug the connector and check the signal, if still 0 most likely a main controller problem, could also be the memory sticks. Replace both with new parts.

Remove the Drum cleaning Unit and look, if the maschine boots up. If so, the vibration units are defective
Alternative, you can unplug J529 on the DC Controller, and look, if the unit boots up

Most times it turns out to be the All Day Power Supply PCB.

          to add from Screwtape post

Check AC output from the All Day Power supply at connector J782. J782 from the All Day Power Supply supplies AC voltage to the DC Power Supply.

Check for 5 Volts present from J784 Pin1 on the All Day Power Supply, to the DC Power Supply .

check the all day power supply for 3.3 volts missing from J785 pin 2 (memory runs on 3.3volts)
check the 2 amp fuse on the All Day Power Supply/ make sure it is not open

Thank you Screwtape, Teckat & Herrmann, Have tried what you all suggest and it seems herrman is right to the point, removed the drum unit and hit the power switch and the panel is on, fan is on , the heater lamps is on but E065 show because the primary charging assembly was removed together with the drum unit.
Thanks to you guys. One more question, since the cleaning vibration unit is defective, is it possible to remove it/ don't use it like in iR7200/iR8500?

As an alternative, couldn't you just open the front cover, pull out the fixing feeder frame from it's home position, and power up the copier to test this same thing? If it boots, then try unplugging the J529 plug? Good call on the vibrators,, I have not run into this one...

Nope, you have to pull the prozess unit, or the j529, the reason is, that the vibrator units shortens out and therefore killing some voltage supply to the controller bord, leading to no screen and not booting up. pulling the fixing feeder alone will show no effect, if i remember correctly.

Just had a moment of clarity,, (getting fewer and farther between ;-) ), and I see the mistake I made in my assumption, since the AP unit is part of the main frame, not the feeder frame!!!

                    Doh!!!!!
