First time we have gotten this code, Before i started ordering parts i wanted to get some feed back, Since this copier is on an air force base i don't have easy access and having to return with more quotes for labor and parts is not easy they want one quote for repair. Copier display is blue with only error code displayed i can not get into anything with the control panel. right now parts being considered are the hard drive & mfc pcb . If there is any other board from your experience i need to quote please let me know. Everyone thanks alot.

Hold down 1 and 9 on the control panel. Turn the machine on and complete the Hard Disk Drive Scan Correction. After completing go to ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS>COMMON SETTINGS>CONSUMPTION IN SLEEP MODE and change setting from LOW to HIGH.
This may even clear up your E602 0001**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

i have a Canon IR2830 with this code E602-0001, the hard drive is bad.... now, if I replace it the machine would accept it immediately or we have to reboot the machine? if so... what is the proceeding to follow?
Please help me... any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!Comment

this post was on a 5000 error issue/
u should re-post under a new topic under a 2830/e602-0001
602-0001 does not always mean HDD is toast- First Check the Ribbon and Power cable to the Hard Drive-
before replacing HDD u want to check if it is a HDD issue or a power supply issue
try this - remove cable from HDD/ power up n' see if it gets to main screen to pop the E602 code/ if it does not u could have a power supply problem/ if it gets to main screen with code u have a HDD issue**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment
