    iR6570 does not warm-up

    Hi guys,
Has any one come across this?
This machine when turned on will complete the start-up cycle and enter into the warm-up cycle and stay on like that continuously. The 'printer is warming' is displayed at the bottom of the touch screen as well as 'Reservation copies can be made' at the top. If any door is opened and closed again, the message at the top changes to 'Mode settings can be entered'. When monitored from Copier>Display>Analog, the Fixing temp does not rise from the room temperature.
    Please help!

    Regards!

when left alone does the unit error out? do you hear the shutter moving at all?
we need more information in order to help you out.

You could have a bad thermistor, bent pin on the connector or paper in the connector causing a communication issue between tray 1 and DC controller. There could be any number of issues with the fuser unit causing your problem.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

Are there any fuser errors logged? Doesn't even show temp rising in service mode? Machine should error out after time. Unplug the machine from the wall, wait a minute and plug it back in. Then clear the ram....do a p-print first. Machine is known for thermistor problems...new thermistor assemblies are improved.

Thank you for your response, here are some more details
        1. no error code is displayed, no matter how long the machine stays on,
        2. the shutter does not rotate at all.
        3. I also tried to swap in a tray 1 from another mashine yet nothing changed.

I had a similar thing happen on an ir5065 with a T1 finisher. Turned out that it was simply out of staples. Replaced the staples and it was back up and going. Upgraded firmware and haven't had the problem since.

I would check the fixing feeder connectors for paper, male and female. You should check well. The slightest piece of paper can cause issues like your.

This is a known problem as well that can give you the same message you are fighting. Also check the bottom of the cartridge for cracks or damage as it will cause the same issue
