    Canon IR2016 developer replacement

    Hi

I just ordered a dev assy for an IR2016 but it came with no dev in it.

I'm guessing these copiers don't have the dev seperate from the toner?

Please let me know if I am right. . . .

    Many thanks

      Thanks for the reply!

It is he part number you mentioned above. ..

I am told that Canon monochrome copiers are mono component (just the toner which has dev already mixed in with it).

So hopefully after installing the dev assy, running the developer idling mode operation, then installing the toner bottle, it will be ok. . . .

Its mono component...no dev(carrier). Shake the toner cartridge and stick it in the machine

You've been told correct. The machine sometimes does it on it own.
