[Dead] canin IR 6000

Sir, one of our canon ir 6000 is not getting on, just the power indicator on panelis on..display not getting on, i have changed power supply, and dc board, but machine is still hte same, what i observed is the moment i switch on the machine, 24 volt dc output on in powersupply, but seconds later it drops to zero volt, i doubt it has got some short circuit , i checked the heater unit and other areas, but i didnt find anyhting, plz anyone help me to sortout this problom..thanks

Take the control panel apart (keyboard / display) and clean it. I don't know why but I had one doing th same thing. All that would happen when you turned it on was the green power indicator light would come on and then go back off. Someone said to take it apart and clean it, I did and the machine started up and had been working for a year now.

You could have a short in the 24v system. The multifeeder door microswitch or the front door switch have been known to do this. But you could get this from a bad 24v component.

usually a dead display and the green power light is a MN-controller, RAM or boot rom issue. This goes for all models of the IR series.

Thankyou for your response, i checked the multifeer switch and main switch , both are good, but problom still persists, what i noticed is.if i remove connector j101 which supplying dc voltage to DC board, machine display gets on, but when i putback that connector,,Dc voltgae get droped to zero, i tried to find any short circuit,,but failed, any ideas? plz help, already changed Dc borad Rom, MNain borad Ram,power supply pcb .

You could have a short in the 24v system. The multifeeder door microswitch

check voltage from the Main Controller to the control panel, for 5 volts on J1018B-pin 3

Thanks for ur reply, sir checked the 5V on j101bb-pin 3,its present if i remove the j101 from Dc board..once i put back join to dc board..it becomes zero and no control panel is off. thanks

that means there is a short somewhere / what work was done before this issue ????

u stated before that if u keep connector off > Panel comes on / how is that possible when there is no 5v supply voltage to panel ???

Try disconnecting the connectors on the DC controller one at a time. If the panel comes up chase the load on that line. I take it J101 supplies DC power to the DC controller? If so now just narrow down which connector has the problem on it.

I found the problom..there was wire screwd to machines body..i guess some did that by mistake..any i was bale to find out...i thank you each and every one for their replys and help..god bless u all

sir it's may because short in yuor cable wire.coz power suplly (PS) will protech.
but you can try to repleace main control pcb
