    Stack Bypass Problem - IR3300i

Can anyone please advise what part & where it might be obtained (or possibly procedure) to fix a stack bypass paper recognition problem.

My IR3300i will not recognize the letter size paper being fed into the stack bypass - and an image of the bypass comes on the display saying wrong size paper inserted.

Unit ran fine using stack bypass but now having this problem. Had problem a few years back & tech put used part in side that worked for a couple of years until now. Thanks.

        TO add on mrfixit51 procedures

        Product : imageRUNNER 2200 / 2800 / 3300 / 3300i Title : The Multifeeder does not Recognize the Correct Paper Size.

It may be necessary to enter the values for the Multifeeder in Service Mode > Adjust > CST.Perform the adjustment of the Paper Width Basic Value in Service Mode > Function CST.Next check the Multifeeder Tray Timing Belt position, it may need to be adjusted.
Note: Follow the steps below to adjust the Timing Belt position.

Thanks guys - I will do as suggested & advise.

Just to clarify, when you say "multifeeder" you mean the side stack bypass tray (not the Auto Doc. Feeder). I am having some type of problem w/ the side stack bypass tray (aka side manual tray).

I will execute above procedures to troubleshoot the side stack bypass tray.

          Thank you.

OK, did the auto. adj. function & still coming up w/ telling me to adjust paper width. Can someone please clarify, what size is the 8 1/2" x 11" paper when fed long side into the multi-feeder? Is that the MF-A4R size?

I've also punched in the values per Mrfixit51 manually. Not recognizing the paper, and even goes off shading the orientation for the 8 1/2" x 11" paper fed long side into multi-feeder. Appreciate any suggestions.

              Thank you.

Guys, was able to adjust with the following values - manually inputted:

                MF-A4R - 113
                MF-A6R - 223
                MF-A4 - 18

Had to also do a slight calibration on the belt / sensor under the MF tray, but could not adjust properly until the values were manually inputted as identified above.

THANK YOU ALL - could not get to service mode w/out your help.

Went to the IR5000i w/ the info. you guys gave on accessing the settings & checked & used those values for the IR3300i. Was informed also that the part no. for the belt & sensors are the same in the IR3300 & IR5000 units.

                    THANK YOU GUYS!
