First of all thank you for the link Teckat.....but after installing the iR tool box it seem the scanner can't link up with copier. It's prompt a messegge " a supported scanner is not installed ". What else I miss out to configure it.

I'm using a network cable and it can print with UFRII driver now.

Have you installed the Canon network scangear utility? And if so have you configured it correctly? Start menu > Programs > "Colour" Network Scangear > Scangear Tool. "colour" depends on which on you have installed colour or black and white. Also what application are you using to scan?

installing the print and twain scanning drivers for the imageRUNNER

** Before the device is connected, install print and twain scanning driver as needed. After this is done, connect and power up 1022 with a USB 2.0 cable to a desktop PC and wait for the desktop PC to finish configuring the device.
Device Manager showing existing devices installed and properly detected by the OS.

Device Manager would then show the following device objects shown below in Figure 2. Please note that should the device object be listed in any other category or has a yellow question mark, delete those device objects while the physical device is connected and then proceed with re-installation of the driver .

Figure 2. Device objects that will be displayed after successful installation of device drivers.

Finally, after a successful driver installation, verify that in Control Panel > Scanners and Cameras, that WIA Canon iR1018/1022/1023 Image scanner device is displayed.

Figure 3. In Control Panel, the newly device is also displayed

            This is a 1023iF

You can scan to a file folder. Why would you want to use a twain driver. Why would you limit your self.

I don't even think network scangear tool works with this model..
