iR5020i No power

    iR5020i No power

    Hai all,
    I need help.
    Machine display is black but green power light is on.
    I read thru the forum "IR5000 no power " and follow the intruction,clean and reseat the sd ram and boot rom ,there is 3.3v , 5v and 24v from power supply and 3.3v from the main board.
    Can see the heater lamp light on and machine is rotating after it reach the temperature.
    Is very strange when i disconnect the HDD ide connector from the main board, and switch on the machine ,is still warm up .
    Is anyone come arcoss this problem,please help.

      Replace the RAM. I've seen that once on a 5020. Don't think I've seen it on a 5000, but I've had a few 5020 where new RAM fix'd weird stuff.

          I found this post for the IR 5020 relating to your type of trouble

          Problem :
          The green light is on, but there are no other control panel indications

          Solution :
          Replace the 192 meg. memory stick: WA7-2700-000.

          Hope this helps...Have seen main controller board fix this trouble also but I wouldn't go there first. Start with the memory.

              Is 192MB not 256 MB ?Because dot one slot only.

                  Your MN cont could be the problem. Repaired one machine 3 weeks back with the same problem but it was a iR6000i.
                  Try replace the MN Controller.

                      You are correct....the info was for the IR 5000 & you have the 5020.
                      On the 5020 the following was changed ---------The size of the SDRAM (work memory) that comes standard on the main controller PCB has been increased from 192 MB to 256 MB. (2 memory slots -> 1 memory slot)
                      - The size of the boot ROM has been increased from 1 MB to 2 MB to support network downloading.
                      - Changes have been made to the counter memory PCB so as to accommodate increases in capacity.

                          Thank you everyone.the problem solve. Is Dc board Dimm, just clean with alcohol and display coming back.
                          Another issue appear,i need firmware.
                          Can anyone help me with the firmware because i need to change it to english ,Thank you.
