Canon ir5000 - ScanGear and Windows 7

    Canon ir5000 - ScanGear and Windows 7

    What version of Scangear is working with WIndows 7....have a customer that has a ir5000 and windows 7, can not get ScanGear to work. Windows 7 will not see the scanner at all.

      Yes the program installed OK. Went to the tools and tried to let it find the copier/scanner, then put the IP address in and it still would not find it.

      I am using ScanGear v 2.21

        Are you sure you know to do this?
        Have you tried with other Win XP or Win Vista and it worked?
        If yes,try to download again Netgear Windows 7 Version.

          NetGear???? And yes I have been installing ScanGear for about 8 years now, but never tried it on Windows 7.

            I have figured it is the Windows 7 - 64bit version that is causing the problem.

              Ah, 64 bit

              Yea seen that before.

              Also, look out for this when installing print drivers as well on 64 bit.
